Ibiza

September 2007

Well after our endurance driving in Europe in May it was decided "monkey styleee" ie last minute that myself and Richard would accompany Nick and his family to the balearic island of Ibiza!

Having heard and mostly seen the likes of "Ibiza Uncovered" on TV we were a little sceptical on what we were getting ourselves into despite Nick's reassurances that the place was "alrighttt".

After some confusion at the Leeds or Bradford City Airport (can't remember which) at some ungodly hour we parked up and made our way to, what I thought was a tiny airport!  Not as pimp as my local Manchester Airport :)  Where was my duty free, my shops with clothes nobody buys and the young girls hassling me to get them 80x Benson & Hedges!!

When we eventually go to Ibiza it was a great feeling of warmth and sunshine that kicked in at a crazy early hour of 10am and was el-scorchioooo!!

The place of residence was across the road from a market square which sold all sorts of jewellery and door chime things etc.

Tony (owner) aka I-HATE-NICK was a legend!  Not sure how much English he could understand but he could definitely understand the noise emitting from senoire bards' after our night of festivities!

Leaving notes for Nick on the door and on the banister to Nick's room it was obvious he was pissed off!!  I'm sure his laser-jet printer was on fire burning them off the pc in preparation of the noise from the bards(teward)!

Some of the beaches we visited were simply amazing!

Our day of travelling the island in Uncle Trevor's Ford Ka was a very wise idea.....however deciding not to check the fuel before we left was not!
